Pakistan Sends Drones After Ceasefire, India Destroys Them Across Borders
Ceasefire Breached: Pakistan’s Drone Provocation in Jammu, Punjab & Rajasthan

After a historic ceasefire agreement was announced between India and Pakistan on May 10, 2025—brokered by the U.S.—hopes were high for peace in the region. However, just hours later, a wave of drone activity from the Pakistani side shattered the optimism. India responded swiftly, intercepting and destroying multiple drones that violated its airspace in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and Rajasthan.
What Happened After the Ceasefire?
Former U.S. President Donald Trump, along with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, declared a ceasefire had been agreed upon between India and Pakistan. But soon after, Indian air defense systems went into action as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from Pakistan were spotted in Srinagar, Amritsar, and Barmer sectors.
These drones were not just surveillance tools—they were reportedly dropping suspicious instruments, possibly tracking devices or communication gadgets, suspected to aid terror activities or cross-border smuggling.
Where Drones Were Detected
Jammu & Kashmir: Drones entered via the LoC and triggered explosions near civilian areas.
Punjab (Amritsar): BSF found a Chinese-made DJI drone and a packet suspected to be heroin.
Rajasthan: Increased drone sightings led to heightened alert and more anti-drone deployments.
India’s defense forces responded promptly. Most drones were destroyed mid-air, while some were recovered for forensic examination.
India’s Response
India accused Pakistan of violating the ceasefire intentionally, calling it a “planned provocation”. Officials said this shows Pakistan is “not serious about peace” and is instead using the ceasefire window to gather intelligence and aid infiltrators.
The Indian Army and BSF have now beefed up border patrols and deployed anti-drone technology across vulnerable regions.
What the World Is Saying
While the U.S. has urged both nations to maintain peace, international observers are closely watching the situation. The incident puts a question mark on Pakistan’s credibility and risks escalating tensions once again.
This is not just a security issue; it’s a matter of trust. For Indian citizens, the repeated breaches from Pakistan show a lack of commitment to peace. As Indian forces act with restraint and responsibility, the global community must recognize who is triggering the unrest.
