India-Pakistan Tensions Rise as Global Allies Join the Scene

New Delhi: The India-Pakistan defense race is heating up again. While India strengthens its borders with new air defense systems from Russia, Pakistan is rapidly expanding military ties with China and Turkey — two powerful global players.

China Gives Tanks and Submarines to Pakistan

China has now become Pakistan’s biggest defense partner, supplying more than 81% of its weapons. This includes modern JF-17 fighter jets, VT-4 battle tanks, and advanced Hangor-class submarines.

In fact, China recently delivered the second of eight submarines to Pakistan, and it has fast-tracked the delivery of 40 VT-4 tanks, showing how urgently both countries are working together.

Turkey Boosts Pakistan’s Air and Naval Power

Meanwhile, Turkey has become Pakistan’s second-strongest military partner. The two countries are building MILGEM-class warships, upgrading submarines, and collaborating on drone technology.

Pakistan has already received Bayraktar TB2 and Akıncı drones, and is also taking part in Turkey’s next-generation fighter jet project (TF Kaan). This growing defense partnership is clearly designed to strengthen Pakistan’s air and sea capabilities.

India Deploys Russian Igla-S Missiles on Border

In response, India is not sitting quietly. The Indian Army has started deploying Igla-S air defense missile systems from Russia in forward areas near the Pakistan border.

These missiles are light, portable, and can shoot down low-flying aircraft and drones. This step shows India is serious about protecting its skies and countering any aerial threats.

The rising military activity on both sides of the border, with help from countries like Russia, China, and Turkey, shows a clear arms buildup in South Asia.
